Grande Praire is a community that loves tradition, and there’s no tradition quite like the holidays. The Christmas season is a time to be with family, to have fun, and to really take stock of what’s important in life. That’s what we’ll be doing this December, and we hope you’ll join us for these fun family events!
Looking for a fun way to give your teens an uplifting Christmas experience? Then head to nearby Sexsmith for the second annual Christmas Social at the Peace River Bible Institute! This year will be a special treat because it will feature an improv experience by The Panic Squad, a Christian improv troupe that combines comedy with a positive message. After that, there will be a party in a safe and positive environment! If this sounds like something you or your kids would enjoy, then make sure to make it out to Grande Prairie this December!
This is good fun every year! Ugly sweater parties are a fun Christmas tradition where everyone tries to find the ugliest, most ridiculous sweater they can possibly find at second-hand shops and thrift stores and then get together and have fun. Of course, sweaters are MOST comfortable when it’s cold, so what better place to have an ugly sweater party than at the skating rink for a combination ugly sweater/skating party!
That’s exactly what’s happening at the Dave Barr Community Centre this December 22nd, in a Christmas bash sponsored by Seven Generations Energy! You bring your friends, family, skates and ugly sweaters, and they’ll bring the fun and the hot chocolate! It’s a perfect wholesome way to spend Christmas Eve Eve Eve!
Whatever brings you to Grande Prairie, know that you’ll have a great stay by booking a room at the Paradise Inn & Conference Centre Grande Prairie Airport. The best part? We’re pet-friendly, so ALL your family can come with you!
